When Seventeen asked me to be one of the hosts at the Glamour Gals Beauty Blogger Luncheon I immediately agreed. The Glamour Gals organization combines my love of makeup with community service. The volunteers give back by giving makeovers to women in nursing homes. We all know how a little makeup and some nail polish can boost our mood, something that those women can definitely use. Getting pampered feels great at any age.
After listening to some panelists, the GG broke up into groups for lunch and chit chat. Tabitha, from imnotobsessed.com, and I hosted a small group of girls where we talked about everything from blogging, to making YouTube videos, to makeup and fashion.
If there are any high schoolers out there looking for a way to combine your passion for makeup and giving back to your community, check out the Glamour Gals site. It is something that I wish I knew about at that age.
