The polishes in this collection are definitely a step up from previous M.A.C Nail Lacquers. The formula is different. Two coats were all I needed from a brand new bottle, which is unheard of from my experience with their polishes. The finish is glossy enough that you do not need a top coat. The cream formula means that it does not contain any shimmer or glitter and it is not metallic. I don’t know who started this rumor but the polishes in this collection are not matte.
Beyond Jealous is a black with a splash of green. I am a fan of black nail polish and this one breaks up the monotony with its hint of color. Green nail polish is also a trend for this season. The Nail Lacquer went on really opaque with one coat. I almost did not need another. I hope all future MAC Nail Lacquers have this formula so I don’t need 4 layers to get the coverage I desire.
