When thinking about how to review Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow I could only think about comparing it against MAC’s Fluidline in Blacktrack. I find the two products virtually interchangeable. If you have Fluidline in Blacktrack you don’t need this in your life.

Both products are creamy and very pigmented.
Both products can be used as liners or as cream shadows.
MUFE calls their cream eye shadow “waterproof.” MAC calls their Fluidline “long-wearing” and “smudge-proof.”
MUFE’s cream shadow sets quicker than MAC’s Fluidline.
MUFE’s cream shadow is denser than MAC’s Fluidline.
MUFE’s cream shadow costs $22 for 0.24 oz. MAC’s Fluidline costs $15 for 0.1 oz.
MUFE’s cream shadow is more pigmented than MAC’s Fluidline in Blacktrack.
In a smudge test, MAC’s Fluidline in Blacktrack held up perfectly while MUFE’s cream shadow did come off a little bit.

I haven’t tried MUFE’s Aqua Black but based on your swatch it seems that it would make a better liner for an intense cat eye than MAC’s Fluidline. The fact that it’s more pigmented makes it better because you don’t have to build the eyeliner as much, especially for pictures.

I personally LOVE blacktrack by MAC. It sets quickly and it lasts all day. I have had so many times where I rubbed my eye because it was really itching very badly and it never smudged. I love it. I will try out MUFE aqua black though.
If you have blacktrack you are not missing anything. If you rub aqua black it kind of comes of on your finger, but oddly it did not crease on my lid.
