I recently did a post on the matte nails trend that will be taking over this fall with brands like OPI and Zoya releasing nail polishes with this interesting finish.
I was not surprised when I heard Essie was releasing matte about you matte finisher. This polish allows you to give any polish in your collection the coveted matte finish. I love the idea of only having to get one polish to achieve this look.
How it works:
Matte About You achieves the matte color look with the same salon-proven, long-lasting durability as our stable of colors and nail treatments. Start with an essie base coat, followed by two coats of your favorite essie nail polish. Finish by applying a thin layer of Matte About You in place of a top coat.
The polish will be available in August 2009 with a retail price of $10.00.
Now we’ll just have to see if Essie’s matte about you finisher gives you the matte finish that a matte nail polish will give.

i heard about this and i really want to try it…i LOVE matte nail polishes but only own a couple so i think this would be fun to have.
yeah I’ve seen swatached of these matte polishes and I instantly became uninterested…lol I need some shine!
